What does it mean to be a Catholic citizen? It can mean a lot of things. Standing up for our faith is especially important in society. We need to make Catholic the new “cool.”
To be a Catholic in America means that we need to follow Jesus, whatever life throws at us. There is so much we see and hear in the media that is impure and so common these days, people don’t even realize the impurity of it! People are sinful everyday, in order to “fit in” with society. We need to stand up to peer pressure and set a good example, people will see us and follow us!
Even though the elections are over, part of being a Catholic American is being a well-informed voter. It is our duty to defend life. We should focus on issues that can take life away from us. We should vote for the candidate that will be a good leader and act as God would want.
Lastly, being a Catholic is not just sitting around the Church, not that Church isn’t a wonderful thing. There are so many fun and exciting adventures your faith can take you on. We have events like rallies, trips, and camps, so people can have fun and grow in their faith.
In conclusion, we must stand up to our peers and society, defend God and life, and be good citizens. What is a good citizen? A good citizen is one who acts as God would want.
